Why I Started Stronger Now

I didn’t start Stronger Now at the beginning of my journey, I started it once I realised how far I’d come… and how many women might still be standing where I once was.

In my mid 40s, a single mum. Having to rebuild life after leaving a situation I never thought I’d be in. At the same time, my health wasn’t where it needed to be, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes.

It felt like a wake-up call… one I couldn’t ignore.

Things had to change

I joined a gym.

Not because I loved it, not because I felt confident but because I knew something had to shift.

And if I’m honest… I wasted nearly a year of that membership. I didn’t go, I avoided it. I told myself I’d start when I felt ready.

But ready never came.

The moment it clicked

Everything changed when I found a ladies lifting class.

It wasn’t intimidating, It wasn’t about being the fittest or the strongest. It was just women showing up, supporting each other, doing what they could.

So I started showing up too.

I made friends. I found a routine. And somewhere along the way, I discovered something I never expected… I actually loved lifting weights.

What happened next

It didn’t happen overnight, but slowly, things started to shift.

My body changed, my fitness improved. But more importantly… my mindset changed.

I felt stronger, more capable, more in control of my life again.

Over the space of 2 years, I lost just under 5 stone.

I came off blood pressure medication. And my Type 2 diabetes went into remission. 

It became a lifestyle

The gym was just the start, I began looking at everything differently… What I eat, the supplements I take, to even how I look after my skin.


I started listening to people like Steven Bartlett and Vonda Wright, learning more about health, mindset, and long-term wellbeing.

This stopped being about weight loss, It became about building a life that feels good to live in.

Why Stronger Now exists

I didn’t create this brand because I had it all figured out. I created it because I don’t.
But I know what it feels like to turn things around.

To start again.
To feel uncomfortable.
To doubt yourself… and keep going anyway.

Stronger Now is for women who are on that path. Women in their 30s and beyond.
Women rebuilding, resetting, rediscovering themselves.

Not chasing perfection, just becoming stronger than they were.

Because if I can do it… so can you.

Where I am now

I’m in a routine now... kind of

I train, I take care of myself, I make better choices, more often than not. Although, i still have the treats, just in moderation now

I’m not perfect, but I’m a damn sight more consistent. And that’s what changed everything.

You don’t need to be confident.
Or experienced.
Or ready.

You just need to start.

Because it’s never too late to change your life.
